Rufi Natarajan

Since immigrating to the US in 1972, Rufi has worked tirelessly to support progressive issues and candidates. After retiring from a long career in real estate in 2015, she has served on several boards, including Planned Parenthood, Refugee Services of Texas and the U of H Women’s Study group. She also worked on several high profile campaigns: Turner for Mayor, Sung for HISD Trustee, Litton for Congress and Johnson for State HD 134. From 2017 to 2021 she dedicated herself to the Harris County Democratic Party, as chair of the AAPI Committee and helped raise $400,000 for the party. She serves as Precinct Chair for Precinct 70, in the Memorial Park, Houston area.  Currently she serves on the Finance Board for the Lina Hidalgo reelection campaign and as Treasurer for the Lesley Briones for Commissioner’s Court Precinct 4 campaign.
