Proclamation from Judge George

On August 8, 2022, Judge KP George gave Rise AAPI a Proclamation recognizing our organization’s mission to unite, organize and support the AAPI community in Texas and its impact in Fort Bend County. Our Executive Director Nabila Mansoor was present to accept the Proclamation.

Elected in 2019, KP George is the Fort Bend County Judge. This is the county's top elected official, and Judge George is the first judge of South Asian descent to hold the office. He’s also a board member of Rise AAPI.

Proclamations are given to organizations and individuals who have made a significant contribution to society. Judge George, by issuing this proclamation to our organization, is recognizing the influence of one of the fastest-growing and ethnically diverse counties in the United States, and our role in mobilizing the community.
